a swim across the ocean

This is the final week of classes during my senior year at SVA. Senior year was devoted to developing a portfolio for the working world, and throughout the year I've been working on a comic called "Flamingo Island". It's the story of a young girl who swims across the ocean to become the queen of the only island in the world where pink lemons grow, and where flamingos coincidentally live as well.

Although it's still in progress, I plan to have Part One finished for MoCCA Art Fest in NYC this summer. In the meantime, here are two of my favorite pages.





I plan to tone and/or color them in the near future. I am very proud of them!
